as posted by the channelIsrael Defense Forces spokesperson Daniel Hagari said on Friday that he believed "there are two Gazas now” amid the latest war with Hamas.
In a news conference in Tel Aviv, he explained that the south of Gaza is a "more safe area" where Israeli forces are "bringing and concentrating everyone who came through, and allowing humanitarian aid."
He also said that "we are focused on very complex and tough fighting in the north."
Hagari stressed that "Gaza residents who have not gone south are risking their lives and the lives of their families".
"We continue to urge them, move southward - we create corridors for that", he said,
During his remarks, Hagari also said that Israeli forces "are chasing down and eliminating Hamas field commanders on the ground and under the ground."
"Since the beginning of the war, we have killed together with security service 10 Hamas terrorists equivalent to ranks of regiment commanders and brigade commanders," he added.
The Palestinian death toll in the ongoing conflict has reached 9,227, according to the Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza.
In the occupied West Bank, more than 140 Palestinians have been killed in violence and Israeli raids.
More than 1,400 people in Israel have been killed, most of them in the Oct. 7 Hamas attack that started the fighting, and 242 hostages were taken from Israel into Gaza by the militant group.
