0:32Now PlayingNATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Monday called for Israel and Hamas to continue the break in fighting. An extension of the four-day cease-fire would allow "for much needed relief to the people of Gaza and the release of more hostages," he told reporters in Brussels.
He added that "the suffering we have seen" highlighted the need for a lasting political solution. Stoltenberg also hailed Ukraine for its effectiveness on the battlefield against Russia, even though Ukraine has "not moved" the front line "so much."
"But even though the front line has not moved, the Ukrainians have been able to inflict heavy losses on the Russian invaders, both measured in personnel and casualties, but also in taking out fighting capabilities," Stoltenberg said.
