0:46Now PlayingRussian President Vladimir Putin made a rare comment on his rumored use of doubles during his annual press conference on December 14, when a caller described as from St Petersburg posed as an AI-version of the president to ask about stand-ins.
Asked whether he uses doubles, Putin told the other participant that only he could speak “in my voice.” He also said emerging AI technology had the potential to be as dangerous as nuclear weapons, according to news channel SOTA.
International opponents and Russians have regularly questioned whether Putin uses stand-ins for appearances. Putin then resumed the annual end-of-year press conference, which touched on the Russian economy, the war in Ukraine, and imprisoned journalists.
