0:50Now PlayingProtesters interrupted a speech being delivered by US President Joe Biden in Raleigh, North Carolina, on Tuesday, March 26, to raise the plight of people in Gaza.
In this footage from a livestream of the event from The White House, protesters can be heard interrupting Biden’s speech on healthcare, shouting “What about healthcare in Gaza?”.
Protesters also shouted “Hospitals in Gaza are being bombed” and “Women are being raped”, according to an official transcript of the event.
Biden momentarily halted his speech and said “Be patient with them. They have a point. We need to get a lot more care into Gaza”.
