0:13Now PlayingThe White House said Monday "new progress" is being made on a hostage deal between Israel and Hamas and it says the "onus is...on Hamas" to accept a ceasefire and reach a deal.
"In recent days, there has been new progress in talks and currently, the onus is indeed on Hamas," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said at the White House briefing.
"We believe that all efforts need to be brought to bear to convince Hamas to accept the proposal immediately," she added.
