as posted by the channelSpeaking to reporters in the Oval Office Thursday, President Donald Trump called for denuclearization talks with Russia and China, and said he trusts Russian President Vladimir Putin wants peace with Ukraine.
Speaking during an executive order signing on reciprocal tariffs, Trump told reporters that once the wars in Ukraine and Gaza have settled down, he wants to meet with Russia and China to discuss all three nations drastically cutting back their defense spending.
“When we straighten it all out, then I want to one of the first meetings I want to have is with President Xi of China, President Putin of Russia. And I want to say, let’s cut our military budget in half,” Trump told reporters at the White House.
