Laotian President Thongloun Sisoulith visited Moscow on Thursday where he met with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

Sisoulith announced that the Laotian government would like to gift Russia a pair of elephants on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between two countries, to which Putin thanked him and joked the elephants could be "useful in the household."
