0:51Now PlayingThe Louvre reopened its doors to visitors in Paris on Wednesday, the museum said on its website, three days after thieves stole jewels worth around €88 million ($102 million) in a daring daytime heist.
The Apollo Gallery, where the theft took place and which is home to the French crown jewels, remains closed to the public, however, Agence France-Presse reported.
Robbers armed with disc grinders broke into the world-famous museum, which has close to 9 million visitors a year, on Sunday morning, using a truck-mounted furniture hoist to reach the first-floor gallery.
