In her view, the country’s authoritarian leader, Nicolás Maduro, won’t listen to reason and must receive a blunter message — even if that means the threat of US military intervention.
“The increase in pressure and the escalation that’s taken place is the only way to force Maduro to understand that it’s time to go” and “facilitate a peaceful and orderly transition,” she said on Bloomberg’s The Mishal Husain Show. “This process is about saving lives, millions of lives.”
