as posted by the channelTop administration officials briefed lawmakers on Capitol Hill as the United States seized two sanctioned oil tankers linked to Venezuela in back-to-back actions in the North Atlantic and the Caribbean Sea, officials said Wednesday.
The administration is removing sanctions to enable the shipping and sale of oil from the South American country to markets worldwide.
"We're already seeing progress with this new deal that's been announced and more deals to follow. You are already seeing how the leverage the United States have over those interim authorities is going to begin to lead to positive outcomes."
The oil sales are slated to begin immediately with the sale of 30 million to 50 million barrels from the South American country.
