as posted by the channel

President Donald Trump plans to close the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts for about two years to carry out renovations.

Trump's decision comes after a significant backlash, including prominent artists canceling performances and declining ticket sales, following his takeover and renaming of the center to the Trump Kennedy Center.

Trump says the temporary closure will produce a faster and higher quality result, turning the center into a "World Class Bastion of Arts, Music, and Entertainment" after it has been in "bad condition, both financially and structurally for many years."
