“We talked today about how to strengthen our defense co-operation,” Meloni told reporters in Palazzo Chigi after talks with Zelenskiy in Rome on Wednesday. “Italy in particular is very interested in developing a joint drone production, a sector in which Ukraine has become a leader in these years.”
Ukraine offers a security agreement combining its defense expertise against drones with the capacities of its partners, Zelenskiy said. “War has changed. Now, nobody can feel safe without a strong protection from all types of drones,” he said.
