US and Iran tensions grew over the Strait of Hormuz with both sides maintaining their blockades of the critical waterway.
US President Donald Trump ordered the US Navy to shoot any boat putting mines in the strait, and the military intercepted two oil supertankers that tried to evade its effort to prevent passage to and from Iran’s ports.
The US blockade of Hormuz will remain in place until an agreement is reached, while Iran has said it will not take part in negotiations until the US blockade is lifted.
