Trump said Nvidia Corp.'s H200 chips also came up during the meeting, and that China hasn't approved purchases of the chips because they want to develop their own.
The US has restrictions on sales of sensitive technology to China, and while Trump agreed to allow Nvidia to ship its H200 AI chips to Chinese customers, none have been exported due to a lack of approval from the Chinese government.
