Trains remain halted indefinitely, and even if a deal is reached soon, it will take time for the railroad to ramp up operations, with service likely resuming the following day.
The MTA is advising people to work from home if possible, and for employees who can’t log in remotely, there will be free shuttle buses and other alternative transportation options available, including $95 one-way helicopter rides between Long Island and Manhattan.
