Trump said "at least four" one-way attack drones targeted ships in the strait, with one hitting a cargo ship, and that the other three drones were downed.
The attack is a setback to efforts to restore shipping traffic through the vital energy thoroughfare, with obstacles including about 80 mines in the strait's historic shipping lanes.
