0:34Now PlayingPresident Donald Trump accused China of interfering with US elections in 2020, claiming the Chinese government stole voter files, including names, addresses and other sensitive data. #trump #china #usa #worldnews #politics #news
China's Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian called Trump's allegations "purely fabricated" and "malicious smears," saying China has never interfered in American elections and has no interest in doing so.
Trump's allegations risk derailing a fragile truce between the US and China, just months after a May visit to Beijing and ahead of a planned state visit by Chinese President Xi Jinping to the US in September.
