Putin described the Sarmat as "the most powerful missile system in the world" with a total yield of the delivered warhead more than four times greater than that of any existing Western equivalent.
The range of the missile exceeds 35,000 kilometers, according to Putin, who also said that Russia started to work on the heavy intercontinental ballistic missile in 2011.
