YouTube Description

as posted by the channel

President Donald Trump said he and Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to begin negotiating to end the war in Ukraine, with their teams to "start negotiations immediately".

Trump's approach to the conflict differs from former President Joe Biden's, who focused on providing military and financial aid to Kyiv, and Trump has asked a team to lead the negotiations for the US.

Trump's call with Putin followed the release of American teacher Marc Fogel from a Russian prison, which Trump saw as a positive sign about Moscow's willingness to negotiate over the war with Ukraine. Kurt Volker, former US Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations from 2017-2019, and U.S. Ambassador to NATO in 2008-2009 discusses what this means for the future of Ukraine
