The US president said in a post on his social media platform that Thursday would be an “exciting day” for the two nations, with the White House promising details in a press conference schedule for Thursday in Washington. Meanwhile a report from the Telegraph said that the US would be cutting tariffs on UK-made cars down to 10%.
London Business School professor Richard Portes discusses his concerns with the Trump tariff strategy and how UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer hopes his nation will benefit from a trade deal with the US. He also reflects on the passing of famed Harvard professor Joseph Nye, who died this week at age 88. Professor Portes speaks with Tom Keene and Paul Sweeney on Bloomberg Radio.
