YouTube Description
as posted by the channelUS Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth used a press briefing Thursday to berate the media over reports that questioned the effectiveness of strikes on Iran’s nuclear program.
Hegseth took aim at press coverage of a preliminary assessment by the Defense Intelligence Agency that the US attack likely didn’t cripple core components of Iran’s uranium enrichment program at the underground Fordow facility. President Donald Trump has said the facility was “complete and totally obliterated.”
The defense chief described the “restrike report” as preliminary assessment of whether a target needs to be hit again, adding that initial reports are often wrong or incomplete.
Anne Neuberger, Payne Distinguished Lecturer at Stanford University and former Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technology in the Biden Administration, joins Balance of Power to discuss.
