5:30Now PlayingAI data centers have dominated conversations in the clean energy sector, with forecasts varying wildly over just how much extra load they’re set to place on already strained power grids. While data center energy demand is growing at speed, it currently represents just 1.4% of global power demand, and only around 2% of that figure is actually consumed by AI facilities.
Brian Casey, CEO of ECM, joins Bloomberg Businessweek Daily to discuss how his company is helping to alleviate the energy strain of data centers through electric motors. ECM is a disruptive software and technology company which has developed patented technology that can “print” stators utilized in all types of electric motors and generators. ECM stators are created via ECM’s proprietary software, PrintStator; a CAM and Automated Design Program software platform. ECM stators can be “printed” at any one of thousands of independent printed circuit board houses located throughout the world.
