4:24Now PlayingThe US Supreme Court refused to allow President Donald Trump to immediately oust Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook while she sues to keep her job. The order means Cook can remain in her position at least until the justices rule after hearing arguments in the case in January.
The court is deferring action on Trump's bid to remove Cook while the Justice Department appeals a lower court ruling that said she was likely to win her lawsuit over the firing. At the same time, The White House pulled the nomination of EJ Antoni to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics, throwing the leadership of the critical data agency into further disarray after President Donald Trump fired the former commissioner. Bloomberg's Molly Smith and Michael McKee joined Carol Massar and Tim Stenovec on 'Bloomberg Businessweek Daily' to break it down.
