Mamdani had help brokering those early conversations from Kathy Wylde, president of the Partnership for New York City, a business lobbying group with 350 CEOs in its ranks. Wylde, a veteran of New York City politics, also arranged a larger-scale meeting where Mamdani took questions from 150 of the group’s members.
