Warner Bros. Discovery told employees its board approved Netflix’s acquisition of Warner Bros., with the deal contingent on regulatory clearance. Netflix says it will maintain HBO Max and HBO as part of the deal. Warner Bros. Discovery cable properties including CNN, TNT, Discovery and TBS will be split off into a separate company called Discovery Global in 3Q 2026.
