11:57Now PlayingBlackRock Inc. Chief Executive Officer Larry Fink said there is no bubble in artificial intelligence, emphasizing the volume of investment needed to develop the technology.
“I don’t think there is any uncertainty about AI,” Fink said in a Bloomberg Television interview on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. “I sincerely believe there is no bubble in the AI space.”
Fink, who is co-chair of the forum this year, said hundreds of billions of dollars spent building out the technology will boost global growth, even though there are bound to be some “big failures” from the technology.
While stock markets rose around the world last year, Fink said there has been a move by some investors to diversify away from US dollar assets because they had “an unbelievable over-allocation.” Fink estimated a 5% reallocation occurred, but cast doubt on future shifts because of US economic growth.
Fink added that World Economic Forum’s overseers haven’t had any formal conversations at the board level about moving the event from Davos. There has been talk about hosting additional events in other locations, Fink said.
“It doesn’t have to always be in Switzerland,” Fink said. “Davos is Davos. It is a great town.” He speaks with Bloomberg's Francine Lacqua on the sidelines of the 2026 World Economic Forum’s annual meeting in Davos, Switzerland.
