The Texas senator rejected demands from Democratic lawmakers and civil rights groups for new transparency requirements for Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, even as he acknowledged that some changes may be necessary. Cornyn spoke a day after Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said every federal agent in Minneapolis will use a body camera, yielding to one change Democrats have demanded. Democratic leaders in Congress have also called for unmasking, an end to roving raids and judicial warrants for arrests of migrants.
