Rep. Suzan DelBene said House Republicans are playing games with DHS funding and said she thinks that the redistricting is not benefiting Republicans, and expects the Democratic candidates to be able to take back the majority by flipping three seats.

Senate Republicans are on a collision course with many of their House counterparts over whether to use their most powerful legislative tool — a spending bill Democrats can’t stop — to narrowly fund the Homeland Security department or to go big and try one last election-year push on affordability.

Republicans in Congress likely have one last chance before the November midterm elections to provide swing voters with economic relief, or to appeal to their base’s goals with more spending cuts.
