The S&P 500 rose 1.1% at 7,432.97 in New York. The move was the biggest since rising 1.5% on May 6 and follows the previous session's decrease of 0.7%. Information technology stocks led the market higher, as 8 of 11 sectors gained; 349 of 503 shares rose, while 152 fell.
Nvidia contributed the most to the index gain, increasing 1.3%. United Airlines Holdings Inc. had the largest increase, rising 10.0%.
