The proposed plant, Project Kilby, is expected to start producing power by 2028 and will ramp up to 2.67 gigawatts over time, enough to power more than 530,000 Texas homes.

Alan Greenspan, the former Federal Reserve chairman, has died at the age of 100 due to complications of Parkinson’s disease. Greenspan served as Fed chief for 18 years, from 1987 to 2006, and was known for guiding a record US economic expansion, but his legacy was later dimmed by the financial crisis that erupted after he stepped down.
