-Palantir (PLTR) shares fall. French Prime Minister Sébastien Lecornu announced his government was seeking a divorce with Palantir Technologies Inc. on Instagram. The move followed US President Donald Trump’s decision to restrict foreign access to leading artificial intelligence models from Anthropic PBC, with Lecornu saying “France must have its own tools”.
-Sherwin-Williams (SHW) shares climb. The paint and coating maker boosted its adjusted earnings per share guidance for the full year. The improved guidance is above the average analyst estimate.
-Coca-Cola (KO) shares gain. Coca-Cola Co. raised its full-year outlook, bolstered by demand last quarter while it served as a major sponsor of the FIFA World Cup. The company now sees organic sales growth of 5%, and raised its forecast for earnings-per-share growth to as much as 8%. Coca-Cola topped earnings and sales expectations for last quarter, with organic sales jumping 7% in North America, where the World Cup was hosted.
