On this episode of Stock Movers:
- United Parcel Service (UPS) shares fell after its outlook for volume and profit margins underwhelmed investors, with average US daily package volume expected to decline in the mid-single digits in the third quarter. UPS shares fell 6.6% in New York, the biggest one-day loss since May 4.
- Coca-Cola (KO) raised its full-year outlook, bolstered by demand last quarter while it served as a major sponsor of the FIFA World Cup. The company now sees organic sales growth of 5%, and raised its forecast for earnings-per-share growth to as much as 8%. Coca-Cola topped earnings and sales expectations for last quarter, with organic sales jumping 7% in North America, where the World Cup was hosted. Shares of Coca-Cola rose 4.4%
- Hilton Worldwide Holdings (HLT) shares are down 2.9% in post-market trading after the hotel operator reported earnings for the second quarter and gave guidance for both the third quarter and full year. While results were generally positive, the stock is higher by 15% this year as of Monday’s close and hit an all-time high last month.
