- Palantir Technologies (PLTR) raised revenue and income forecasts for the full year after posting second-quarter sales that far exceeded Wall Street’s estimates, describing commercial demand as “otherworldly.” Palantir now expects $4.89 billion to $4.91 billion in adjusted income from operations and projects as much as $8.16 billion in sales for the full year. Palantir Chief Executive Officer Alex Karp said US commercial sales in the second quarter were “staggering,” rising 149% from a year earlier to $764 million.
- On Semiconducter's (ON) shares rose after it beat analysts' expectations for earnings and revenue in its second fiscal quarter. The company reported $1.604 billion in revenue and earnings of 74 cents a share, and raised guidance on revenue from sales to artificial intelligence data centers
- Snap (SNAP) posted higher-than-projected quarterly sales and gave an upbeat forecast for the current period. Revenue jumped 19% to $1.6 billion for the quarter ended June 30, beating analysts’ average estimate of $1.54 billion. Snap projected third-quarter sales of as much as $1.74 billion, topping projections for $1.70 billion, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
