- CrowdStrike (CRWD) shares are dropping on Tuesday as software stocks broadly pull back amid rising bond yields tied to inflation concerns and climbing oil prices, though the move may also reflect a natural cooldown after the stock’s sharp post-earnings run. The company also launched CrowdStrike SafeMind, a family of purpose-built security models and harnesses from the CrowdStrike Cyber Superintelligence Lab.
- GoPro (GPRO) stock rallies as much as 78% to $1.56, the biggest intraday jump on record, after the action camera maker entered into a definitive merger agreement with privately held optical-photonics company Starman Optical. The deal will to add “US Onshore Optical Transceiver Business, Positioning GoPro to Expand into AI Data Center, Government, Defense and Aerospace Markets,” the company said in a statement
- Apple (AAPL) Chief Executive Officer John Ternus touted the company’s strong product pipeline and teased a “phenomenal” iPhone launch next week. Ternus thanked his predecessor, Tim Cook, for his leadership at Apple and his help during the transition, and Cook is staying on as executive chairman. Ternus said he’s excited about what “lies beyond” the new iPhone release, “including the incredible products already in the works and the ones we haven’t even imagined yet that we’ll dream up and create together. Apple shares rise as a result.
