On this day, May 13, 2003, the US Treasury and the Federal Reserve introduced a new and colorful $20 bill with shades of blue, yellow and peach accompanying, of course, the traditional green and black. The notes were part of a big push by the government to make counterfeiting more difficult by revamping the world's most used currency every 7 to 10 years.
