Teresa Ribera, Spain’s climate minister, was tapped to oversee the digital and energy transitions, including the antitrust portfolio, while Italy’s European affairs minister, Raffaele Fitto, was tasked with overseeing cohesion policy and regional development. Outgoing French foreign minister Stephane Sejourne was named to oversee prosperity, industrial strategy and the single-market portfolio.
