as posted by the channelJanuary 8th, all the way back in 1980 to AT&T, one of the last true corporate monopolies agreed to divest its 22 local Bell telephone networks as part of a sweeping antitrust settlement with the U.S. Justice Department. Now, it fundamentally changed the communications industry and ironically, made AT&T bigger and more sprawling than before.
