8:01Now PlayingDonald Trump has authorized sanctions on the International Criminal Court officials who investigate the US and its allies. Last year, the ICC issued arrest warrants against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the nation's former defense minister over the military campaign in Gaza. Earlier this week, Trump said more than 2 million residents of Gaza should move abroad so US companies could clear the landscape and rebuild it after the Israel-Hamas war.
Former UK Ambassador to the US Nigel Sheinwald, says President Trump's vision for the future of Gaza remains unclear, as many doubt the immediate ramification of the conflict and ceasefire. "The idea that extending the McKinley doctrine of a century and a quarter ago, to taking scraps of land around the world, that does not make sense today," Sheinwald says.
Sheinwald joined "The Pulse with Francine Lacqua" on Bloomberg TV on Feb. 7, 2025.
