A South African mass-transit company is taking the lead in embracing the future of electric buses. Cape Town bus firm Golden Arrow is aiming to cut its emissions, with the help of China’s biggest EV maker. It’s electrifying 10% of its fleet, rolling out 120 electric buses made by China's BYD. We travel to Cape Town to see the buses in action, and the impact they're having. Meanwhile, ss global demand for batteries increases, concerns have been raised about the environmental impact of mining the materials needed to power them. We speak to the Executive Director of the Global Battery Alliance, which is helping to establish a sustainable battery value chain by 2030.
