Novo Nordisk shares fall as much as 9.8% in their first day of trading since Wednesday after the release of strong data from a rival obesity pill developed by US peer Eli Lilly. The triumph of Ozempic, Wegovy and related drugs including Lilly’s Zepbound has set off a push toward the new: a pill that’s easier to take and less expensive to make.
