Alexander holds dual US-Israeli citizenship and had been serving as a soldier for the Jewish state when he was captured during the October 2023 Hamas attack. He is the first hostage to be released since a truce in the conflict expired in early March before Israeli air strikes on Gaza resumed. His release comes ahead of President Donald Trump's visit to the Middle East this week. Bloomberg's Dan Williams reports.
