Walt Disney Co.’s ABC network is taking Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air indefinitely amid a backlash over remarks the late-night host made about the killing of Republican activist Charlie Kirk. The move sparked a wave of outrage among Hollywood stars and politicians concerned about the implications for free speech. The company announced the decision minutes after Nexstar Media Group Inc., which owns dozens of ABC TV affiliates, said it would pull the show from its stations over remarks it said were “offensive and insensitive.” Katie Fallow, Deputy Litigation Director for the Knight First Amendment Institute at Columbia University, joins Bloomberg Businessweek Daily to discuss.
