1:36:03Now PlayingCanada, the UK and Australia have formally recognized a Palestinian state, joining a growing global consensus and pushing ahead with a policy that has drawn criticism from US President Donald Trump. Denmark is also working on a plan to recognize a Palestinian state, Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen says in a video post in Instagram.
Others are also expected to take the step against the backdrop of United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York starting this week, joining 147 of 193 member states that have already recognized Palestinian statehood.
