On today's show, after two long years of war, US President Donald Trump says Israel and Hamas have both agreed to terms for the release of all hostages held in Gaza. Israel is to withdraw its troops as part of the peace plan.
French President Emmanuel Macron has said he'll name a new prime minister by tomorrow evening. This after outgoing Premier Sebastien Lecornu, who was tasked by Macron with negotiating with rival political groups, said sufficient progress had been made to allow work to begin on forming a new cabinet.
Stocks jump in Asia, as China reopens from the Golden Week holiday and as the AI boom extends the Nikkei's run of gains in Japan.
