On today's show, UK Chancellor Rachel Reeves did enough in her budget to help her and Prime Minister Keir Starmer survive, with markets also responding positively. Reeves boosted her fiscal buffer to £22 billion, with tax rises totaling £26 billion. Documents from the official forecaster showed continued spending pressures, particularly on welfare.

At least 44 people have been killed and hundreds are still missing in what is Hong Kong's worst residential fire in more than a century. Three people have been arrested in connection with the fire at a high-rise complex.

Two US national guard troops have been critically wounded in a shooting just blocks from the White House.

Officials say a gunman was taken into custody after another Guardsman returned fire and moved in to stop him.
