7:47Now PlayingThere isn't a "pro" side of a genocide where you murder 11MM people, including 6MM Jews. Quite sure it shouldn't be in schools. This isn't a Breaking Bad episode. It's part of an increasing pattern of "mainstream" Republicans around the country embracing ant-Semitism. Cliff provides breakdown & takedown.

i did a short today on a rhode island restaurant atlantic sports bar and grill that thought it funny and clever and interesting and who knows what else to put up an image of anne frank and to have an image in this hot and steamy weather we're all going through here in the midwest and on the east coast say it's as hot as an oven out there i should know wow i'm not one known to get offended easily and i make all sorts of jokes i'm not even as offended there at the anti-semitism as the stupidity um i have a feeling that somebody there really didn't even know the history and it comes from ignorance but you know what it doesn't even matter it ends up being incredibly anti-semitic and incredibly disrespectful and the thing is it's part of a pattern going on that's being pushed by the republican party right now um a texas school administrator caught on tape by by nbc saying that we need to teach both sides of the holocaust both sides there are the people that were rounded up for no other reason in their religion or who they loved had their heads shaved often uh were beaten uh within an inch of their life throwing concentration camps made to work as slaves and then often murdered um very often to the tune of 11 million people overall six million of whom were jews uh in concentration camp uh you know well they were either shot to death or they were put into gas chambers ovens it's hard to even recount i once went to terezin the work camp in outside of uh prague when i was in europe and everybody should do something of that sort not to mention anne frank's house but today we've got this administrator in texas who wants to teach both sides i mean what's really going on in a german soldier's head when he's putting a bullet through somebody else's head just for being jewish what are they thinking man when they're beating you while you're cleaning up uh or actually really while you're digging holes to bury your fellow inmates at auschwitz or bergen-belsen like yeah it's really important for american kids to know that we don't want them to know that there was ever slavery here but there ever was a genocide against native americans that women were ever treated unfairly and now by the way second class citizens again but damn it if we don't make sure you learn that um that's the texas school administrator my school in my uh state of ohio right here um we have a a member of our state legislature who is proposing also a both sides of the holocaust bill because we need to know clearly what what was the motivation behind an exclusive dominant authoritarian patriarchal fascist system where we like to kill people because they're different than us i want to know the motivators there i don't want to just stop them i don't want to just end their reign i want to know what they're thinking and we should teach everybody that um numerous uh democrats of course have come out against it and now the republicans are a little embarrassed because they try to raise money from jews in ohio um at least the 20 of jews us i'm sort of my background just jewish who are stupid enough to to support the fox who's hunting the bunny um i'm looking for the name here it's pissing me off because i'm not finding it it's a republican from ashtabula nice lovely area uh who supports this bill and you know what i'll get back to it but another candidate in illinois mary miller made a comment recently where she came out and said uh hitler had the youth and that's what's really important if you have the youth you have the future she complimented hitler then of course she was had to apologize for that and was roundly rebuked um steve scalise who's up in the top of the republican hierarchy once referred to himself as david duke without the baggage and spoke at a white supremacy conference marjorie taylor greene and uh paul gozar open white nationalists who spoke at these conferences very recently lauren boebert is running around with a book i'm sure there's lots of pictures if you don't like to read uh that will that basically not basically that says that this country was founded with church dominating the state they have some countries like that or one of them is known as iran she may want to try going and visiting another one the taliban i mean they're having places like that in the
