Trump's Primary Bloodbath Is Eating the GOP Alive

Trump just purged Thomas Massie from the GOP for asking about Epstein and

opposing the Iran war. Cliff and Shuster on the MAGA primary bloodbath—

every Republican who won't bow is being picked off, and somehow it's the

best news Democrats have had all cycle.

Tuesday night, May 19, Trump went 5–0 on his primary endorsements across

Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Oregon. The marquee scalp: Thomas Massie of

Kentucky—a real conservative who broke with Trump on the Iran war,

demanded the release of the Epstein files, and refused to fall in line on

the budget. He was replaced by Ed Gallrein, a Trump-backed former Navy

SEAL who ran on unconditional support for the president's agenda. Bill

Cassidy in Louisiana is already gone. Ken Paxton is being teed up to take

out John Cornyn in Texas. Anyone in the Republican conference who has

visibly questioned Trump on Epstein, Iran, deficits, or tariffs is now

being systematically primaried.

This is the bloodbath. It is real, it is named, and it is happening
