as posted by the channelThis video is a little different from my usual content. It is an audio recording of an anonymous 17 year old male, from White Pine Tennessee, recorded in 1977.
In the mid 70s, the University of South Carolina endeavored to catalogue all American dialects. The point of the interview is just to get the study participant speaking so the dialect can be recorded, but this particular speech subject had recently witnessed a bigfoot, and he seemed eager to discuss the matter.
Only the first half is about bigfoot, but I left the rest in because I think it is fascinating and humbling to hear about life from the not too distant past--from the horses mouth, so to speak.
