China, China, China - China and the Europeans have entered an investment deal that’s looking awkward for the Biden administration, as it doesn’t do much in ensuring China is better about labor practices or human rights, and it certainly isn’t helpful for us in regards to China wanting to steal American data.
2. Iran, Iran, Iran - Iran announced that they are furthering their enrichment of Uranium, the main material needed to create a nuclear bomb. This further enrichment is largely due to Trump’s withdrawal from the Iran Deal. This puts Biden in a tough spot where he wants to re-enter the Iran Deal, but only once Iran goes back to complying with its terms.
3. UK Blocks Julian Assange Extradition - the extradition of Julian Assange, founder of WikiLeaks, back to the US to stand trial for his crimes violating the Espionage Act was blocked by a judge in the UK on terms that his mental health was fragile and he could be a risk for committing suicide.
