What is Zillow? Zillow is a popular online resource for real estate. Making it really simple to type in a zip code and scroll for hours through listed properties for sale, for rent, and even houses not on the market, including your dream home.
Well, recently, they’ve come under fire for a glitch that could’ve cost realtors thousands of dollars in sales. Ouch!
Thanks to the current housing boom, the website has made an update to keep up with demand. Unfortunately, that update removed reviews and sales from realtor profiles nationwide. Taking away hard earned credibility and the prospect of new clients.
Many realtors rely on platforms like Zillow to showcase their accomplishments to potential clients, find leads, market their properties, and much more.
And this isn't the first time Zillow is in hot water. In March 2020 they found themselves in a lawsuit over their Zestimate tool. The plaintiff claimed they hurt their competition and violated U.S. anti-trust laws.
Now fast forward to today, and real estate agents wonder if they’ll be next.
